Anil Kapoor To Start Second Season Of '24

After completing the shoot of the first season of TV series "24," Anil Kapoor is set to soon start with the second season. The aim is to create a better product, says the actor-producer.
"The second season will start very soon. We will work even harder and will try to create an even better product," the 56-year-old said at the success party of the show.  Anil says he hasn't received as much appreciation before, but he believes the best thing about "24" is that the work of all actors has been applauded.
"It has been good, I have never been appreciated this much. People have liked the show. The best thing is that everyone has been appreciated. Sometimes in films only you (one actor) are appreciated and people say the film ran because of you. But in this show everyone has done really well," he added.  "24" is an adpatation of the hit American TV series by the same name.
The show is based on a 24-hour format where one season spans over 24 episodes chronicling 24 hours. Anil plays the head of Anti-Terrorist Unit, Jai Singh Rathod. -Indiatimes  For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

I just hate using the word 'Bollywood': Amitabh Bachchan

Of the multiple issues and passions he touched upon in the course of a lecture in Delhi recently, ranging from female literacy to the nuances of entertainment, Big B often came back to the domain he is the regent of - Bollywood. Oh, and he also hates both 'Big B' and 'Bollywood' Excerpts from a voluminous discourse:
India's a grand narrative:
I stand before you famous for being a foil - not for what I've done of my own authorship. I'm famous for characters, not the character. That given, many of my characters have indeed been epic, and that's India for you. A grand narrative of big leaders, big movements, big argument, big drama, big passion, big suffering, big overcoming.
The only big the media insists I have contributed to this great nation is a rather an overly persistent B - the homemade epithet much to my dislike, the Big B.To entertain - it is a rich and complex act - 'to amuse, divert, attract, to consider, contemplate, hold in mind, to receive, to harbour others in generosity of spirit'. Entertain: inter - among, tenere - to hold.
And we hold among ourselves, blessed with a story - 'storytelling conveys meaning without committing the error of defining it'. True entertainers aren't denotative or didactic - we don't give you answers. We certainly don't give lectures. -Timofindia&nbsp For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Bollywood Player With Hrithik,Ranbir, Katrina, Vidya Balan Starrers On 2014 Slate

Time and again Hollywood studios have tried and failed to make a dent at the Indian box office, with Sony and Warner Bros being prime examples with Saawariya and Chandni Chowk To China respectively bombing big time. Fox Star Studios India has now proved that it is an entrenched player in India.
Their 2014 slate that includes nine Bollywood films and four Tamil films, not to mention 15 Hollywood releases, underlines this conclusively. The Bollywood slate includes Rajesh Pillai’s Traffic, Amol Gupte’s Hawaa Hawaai, Hansal Mehta’s City Lights, Sajid Khan’s Humshakals, Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny, Vishal Madadkar’s remake of The Omen, Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang, Mohit Suri’s Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.
These titles features A-listers including Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan. Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios said, “The studio is making a strong statement about scaling up and becoming a key player in the Hindi film industry as also working with diverse talent cutting across genres.” In Tamil, the studio has its partnership with CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment with two films – V Chitram and Mundasupatti; and Cukkoo with Next Big Films.
The studio is also partnering with Atlee Kumar once more. Atlee recently delivered a hit for Fox Star Studios- AR Murugadoss with his debut film Raja Rani. It helps of course that parent company 21st Century Fox in the US has pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench. However, the pockets may have shrunk slightly because their profits for the quarter ending September 30 were only $1.26 billion, down from $2.23 billion in the comparable 2012 period – a 44% drop.
Ouch? Not really. The ENTIRE Indian film industry is worth $2 billion, which is Rupees 12463 crore. And $1.26 billion, which is Rupees 7855 crore and this merely for one quarter, meaning that a 3 month period for one Hollywood company is worth more than half of the entire value of the Indian film industry. These numbers are humbling. It will be a while, or maybe never at all, before Indian films enjoy world domination like their Hollywood counterparts.
Hollywood may not make the staggering number of films that India makes, but the cultural hegemony it enjoys may never be achieved by India. Meanwhile, it is time for Fox Star Studios to take a bow and enjoy their new found exalted status amongst Indian studios, so what if the money is coming from Papa Hollywood. -Bollywoodlife For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Films On Real-Life Cases, Can Bolly'wood Handle The Truth?

The recent verdict of the Aarushi Talwar murder case, announced a day before the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and less than a month before the first anniversary of the horrific Nirbhaya episode, was closely followed by Milan Luthria shelving his film based on the case.
He said, "I'm taking the film off the table. I won't be making it now. It's stirring up strong emotions, and I don't want to trivialise it. I'd rather let it be. There is enough pain, drama and questions anyway. While discussing it with friends, family and my creative team, we all felt we shouldn't (make it)."
This has refueled the debate on whether real-life crime episodes should be made into films, because of the thin line filmmakers tread between realism and sensationalism. But even as the industry stands divided on this topic, it's interesting to note that not many films based on real-life crimes have either fared well at the box office or earned critical acclaim.
Whereas in Hollywood, Kathryn Bigelow didn't just make Zero Dark Thirty, a war-thriller based on the decade-long hunt for Osama Bin Laden, she released it 18 months after Bin Laden was killed, and won both critical acclaim and box office success for it.
However, this hasn't deterred filmmakers from jumping at the opportunity of announcing films soon after a high-profile crime takes place. But either most of them fizzle out at the box office or don't see the light of day. -Timofindia For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Will Aamir Khan Listen To His Family And Friends?

The recently released song titled 'Malang' from Aamir Khan's next Dhoom 3 has created a stir among the audiences. Even though only a 30 second teaser of the song has been released, it has managed to be stuck in the mind of the audiences.
A lot of Aamir's friends and family have requested the actor to show them the entire song. They have expressed to the actor how they have not had enough of only the 30 second cut promo of the song and are very keen to watch the entire piece. The glimpse of Aamir in his all new gymnast avatar in the song has been loved by friends and family of the actor but they cannot wait to watch and enjoy the entire song. Maalang is a grand song made on a huge scale.
It is easily one of the most expensive songs in Bollywood and has quipped the interest of audiences. Such a marketing strategy of only sampling content as 30 seconders has never been tried in Bollywood. Aamir and Aditya Chopra are the marketing geniuses of the industry and they believe in less is more out of respect for the intelligence of the audience, who are put off by excessive marketing. However, the makers of Dhoom 3 are only releasing a 30 seconder teaser of all songs.
They want the audience to come in the theaters and enjoy the entire song on the big screens. The film is set to hit theaters on 20th december. Spokesperson of the film further adds, "The song Malang has created a stir amongst the audiences.
In fact friends and family close to Aamir Khan have put in a special request for the actor to show them the entire song as they cannot wait until the song releases in theaters on 20th December." -Timofindia For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Riteish Wants The Same Things As Saif

Riteish Deshmukh, who has had his share of luck in multi-starrers, is in a mood for more-than-normal share of the pie.
Unit hands say they witnessed Riteish asking for all the things that Saif Ali Khan got when the two actors were shooting for a comic caper together.
If Saif got an extra stanza in a song, Riteish wanted one too. While there is no bickering on this count, it's interesting to note that everything the Nawab got, the political scion also wanted.-Timofindia For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

I'll Try Again To Build a Girl's School: Amitabh Bachchan

Indian cinematic icon Amitabh Bachchan Friday took to the Penguin Annual Lecture 2013 podium, much to the joy of an eclectic audience of almost a thousand, and left them more star-struck as he spoke about empowering the country's women, Indian cinema, poetry and more.
The 71-year-old, looking handsome in a black formal suit, reached the venue at the scheduled time. The sound of the audience's applause took over the netball court at the facility and Big B, as humble as he is, responded by flashing a smile and folding his hands to gesture a "Namaste". He touched upon his memories of his father, the late legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, whose birth anniversary happened to be just "two days ago" on Nov 27.
"A decade without him," sighed Amitabh as he shared some of his conversations with his father during the lecture, the seventh edition of the annual event organised by Penguin Books India. Big B tried to convey a connect for his presence at the event by saying the invitation for him to address the gathering has to do with the growth that the Indian cinema has witnessed over the years. Cinema was looked down as something infra dig 50 to 60 years ago," he said, and pointed out Penguin Books India's decision of inviting a film actor like him to deliver a lecture that he had earlier described as a "prestigious and of novel importance".
Amitabh, also a UN ambassador for the girl child, spoke of female foeticide and infanticide, of gender bias and of the country's dismal female literacy levels. "Everyone can watch a Hindi film, but they cannot read a book," he rued as he presented hard facts about state-wise literacy rates. "I'll try again to build a girl's school,"
Big B said as he appealed to the audience that "true equality will only emerge when the whole culture embraces the importance of girl child education". He spoke of trafficking, prostitution, acid attacks, dowry deaths, bride burning and more, questioning: "Whose blood is this?" He ended his lecture by reciting lines of his father's poem "Khoon ki chhaap" (Imprints of blood"). An applause followed again. For Amitabh, the experience of the event was as exciting as it was for his fans. "What an enlightened audience, and what an honour to be with them," he posted on Twitter after the lecture.-Timesofindia For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Bigg Boss 7: Has Ajay Devgn Threatened The Makers To Get Tanishaa Mukherji Out Of The House?

ajay and Tanishaa photos
Apparently Tanishaa might be evicted from the Bigg Boss 7 house very soon, As you know Tanishaa Mukherji’s mother Tanuja and elder sis Kajol were not happy with the idea of Tanishaa participating in Bigg Boss 7. Tanishaa, however still went ahead with her decision. What came as a surprise was, in spite of their disapproval, Tanuja and Kajol chose to be part of the audiovisual shown on the grand opening of Bigg Boss 7.
The show began and everything was fine in the initial two weeks and Tanishaa was considered as the most balanced contestant in the house. Problem began from the third week when Tanishaa started getting close to fellow contestant Armaan Kohli
Since then with every passing day, Tanishaa and Armaan are getting closer in the glass walled  house. And this closeness is making Tanishaa’s mother Tanuja and elder sis Kajol more and more furious. There have been reports that Tanishaa’s brother-in-law – Ajay Devgn has called his good friend Salman Khan and producers and asked to get Tanishaa out of the house, but all in vain. Recently during the Kabhi haan, kabhi naa task, Armaan got pissed at Tanishaa and he hastily and heartlessly pulled off the stool on which Tanishaa was seated, leaving her off balance.
However like always, Tanishaa went back to Armaan and apologised to him. She then put her hands on his neck and thighs. In yesterday’s episode as well, TanMan (that’s what their fans call them) shared a long…very long hug with each other as the two were sad because their families didn’t enter the house as a part of the remote control task.
The two are behaving like a couple and this has irked the heck out of Tanishaa’s family. Now we have heard that Devgn has sternly told the makers to evict Tanishaa at any cost. That’s not all. Ajay has also told them that if Viacom 18 is looking for any kind of association with the Devgns in near future, they will have to make sure that Colors, their network channel, evicts Tanishaa from Bigg Boss 7. Reportedly Ajay is very serious this time, and if his request is not met up, he may just not work with Viacom18 anymore.
A little birdie has chirped to us that a high level meeting is underway at Viacom 18′s office where the concerned people are discussing on how to handle this situation. Since there is no elimination happening this week, the makers are confused on Tanishaa’s eviction. One of the many suggestions that came up during this discussion was that Bigg Boss himself can evict one contestant, as per a valid reason. The makers have not reached to any conclusion yet and anything may happen.-BollywoodlifeFor more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Will Hrithik Roshan’s Health Issues Affect His Career?

Hrithik Roshan must be highly pleased with the success of Krrish 3 but what will follow now? Will health stifle his growth? Will family responsibilities hamper him? Is he too hard on himself? Hrithik Roshan’s personality has always fascinated me, especially as he seems to be so focussed.
His drive to fight all odds and achieve a level of perfection has been admirable. Shruti Chopra does a tarot reading for the Krrish 3 star to find out what 2014 has in store for him.A look into his life this week has left me a little perturbed. There are elements of his health that are certainly very troubling.
The Tower card and the Nine of Swords represent extreme mental stress and pressure on the brain – sleepless nights and the reduction of what the body can endure. In all of this, Hrithik is being highly sensible by reducing his work load and taking time off. It’s a certain need of the hour. This obviously effects his family life and his career. The impact is explained by the Eight  Swords where all those around him desire to change it all for him, but feel helpless.
But one thing is very clear, the spirit and coordination within the family is ideal to support Hrithik. It is a time where his marriage will go through its’ challenges but here too, the High Priestess reassures of improved harmony in the times to come. Professionally this break does hamper his career, as he will be thrown into some forced changes and will have to let go of projects he was eager to work on. The Four and Ten of Swords explain this situation to be problematic with those he was committed to – contracts will come into play and a lot of reworking of finances will cause strain. It will be November 2014 before there will be work consistency; where he will live up-to responsibilities and take on newer projects.
On a general note, 2014 is a year where Hrithik will go through personal disappointments, frustrations and anxieties, yet at the same time there is a flip side. Although work will slow down, but the quality of projects will improve. He will have more time on his hands where he will rework his career, so overall it does work out well for him. He, like the Hierophant will gain better balance and be able to gain complete control over his health, work, finances and personal equations. It’s as if 2014 is a cleansing phase – a much needed phase. -Bollywoodlife For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Why Deepika beats Katrina Kaif!

Deepika Katrina imagesDeepika Padukone is on a roll! The pretty actress has fast come up in Bollywood and has created a niche for herself. At a time when Deepika did not have too many successful films to her credit barring her Bollywood debut, who would have thought the actress would soon enough make it to the A-List. Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, Deepika stumped everyone with films like Cocktail, Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and the recent film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
Believing in the adage slow and steady wins the race, Deepika has certainly beaten other Bollywood beauties to their own game. She is the only actress in the Hindi film industry whose last three films (Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express), all released in 2012, have collected 500 crores in totality, making it exclusively to the privileged club.
This is quite an achievement for any heroine and Deepika has not only proved that she can act, but also that she holds her own in a movie that is specially hero centric, adding her own weight to the project. And Deepika certainly seems to have beaten her contemporaries including Katrina Kaif who is alleged dating Deepika's ex Ranbir Kapoor.
In an online poll conducted last year-Times top 50 Most Desirable Women of 2012, Deepika beat Katrina by obtaining the Numero Uno spot! She has also been voted as the World's Sexiest Woman (FHM). In an online poll, Deepika has emerged as the most searched celebrity which at one point was a spot earlier occupied by Katrina Kaif. Deepika has also bagged a lot of endorsements and has many commercials and brands under her belt. - timesofindia For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Saif Ali Khan’s Bullett Raja Will not Release in Pakistan

Buzz is that Saif and Sonakshi’s upcoming film won’t hit the theatres in Pakistan this Friday. Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha’s Bullett Raja is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow. However, the film won’t release in Pakistan due to a court order passed, which states that no Indian film will be censored or released in Pakistan hence forth. Sadly, Saif’s Bullett Raja seems to be the first prey. Last year too, Saif’s film Agent Vinod, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan was banned in Pakistan but for a different reason. The censor board felt that it could hurt the sentiments of the locals.
So, why was this order issued against Bollywood films? Well, apparently, TV talk show host Mubashir Lucman had filed a petition as a consequence of a conflict among Paksitani TV channels. Reportedly, one of the channels which did not get the telecast rights of several Bollywood films initiated this petition. It has been confirmed that Bullett Raja has not been censored in Pakistan and Amjad Rashid, a leading distributor of Bollywood films in Pakistan said, “It won’t open this Friday.”
While producer Mukesh Bhatt is quite distraught with this order, distributor Ramesh Sippy finds this ‘weird.’ As per trade analysts, they find this order very unjust as Bollywood not only generates revenue for Pakistan but also gives employment opportunities to its artistes. That’s true, ain’t it? One can’t forget how Adnan Sami was recently permitted to stay in India despite an expired visa, hai na? Well, this is really unfair and we wonder what the film fraternity has to say about this. Meanwhile, we wish good luck for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja. For more Indian Celebrity News Please visit http://fashioncentral.in

Bollywood’s most cherished jodi and supposedly friends turned foes will spill some beans on Koffee With Karan 4. And now we hear that Bollywood’s most cherished pair Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are also on Karan’s guest list. Rumours were doing the rounds that Kajol and Shahrukh were not on good terms after the tiff between Kajol’s hubby Ajay Devgn and Shahrukh Khan Remember the entire Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar controversy? Moreover Kajol was the only Yashraj heroine who was not present at a fashion show organised on the birth anniversary of Yash Chopra.
At the show, Shahrukh was joined by nine Bollywood heroines who have starred in Chopra’s films which included Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Rani Mukerji, Katrina Kaif, Preity Zinta and Rekha.
